Dorian is a student in Willow.
LearningSpring School has had the honor of playing a meaningful role in Dorian's childhood and formative educational years. LearningSpring is a school for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. We are one of few remaining "funded" special needs schools, but there is a gap between what LearningSpring receives from the NYS Education Department/NYC Department of Education and the cost of actually educating our students. Meeting our fundraising goals is imperative to remaining a tuition-free school.
During this 2025-2026 school year, the funding gap is $13,431 per student, and therefore, LearningSpring School is challenged to raise $1.1 million to meet the needs of our organization--technology, librarian services, facility maintenance, and the Arts Enrichment Program for all students, to name a few. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we have raised $988,925 and counting, and we have roughly $143,575 left to go before Tuesday, June 30th. As a reminder, every gift is currently being matched dollar-for-dollar by The Cruz Family, up to $10,000, allowing your donation to have twice the impact.
